I'm also getting into TikTok food videos. I'm no better than you, man. What can I say when videos are quick, simple, and have a little twist that you get sucked into. Right now, the hottest thing is oven-baked feta with tomatoes. That would explain why there's a panic of feta off the shelves. What's even cuter than this recipe is the addition of pasta to the pan.

Colorful cherry tomatoes in a pan. A little onion (could be purple, could be shallot or maybe leek), thyme leaves. Coarse salt. Black pepper. Confit garlic cloves. (If not available, you can use crushed or mashed garlic cloves) A little olive oil,

A block of feta that I cut in half,

Place the pan in the oven on high heat for 40 minutes.

Add cooked pasta (do not throw away the water),

We will mix all the beauty

Wow. For the amount of investment we made, it tastes good.
Baked feta pasta with tomatoes, garlic confit and thyme
Ingredients
*Put whatever quantities you like, everything is just suggestions. I used a small pan, for a standard pan I recommend you double the quantities.
500 grams cherry tomatoes
Half a red onion, cut into wedges
4-6 cloves of garlic, confit or 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
250 grams block of feta
3-4 sprigs of thyme
1 dried red chili pepper (optional)
1/4 cup olive oil
200 grams of short, hollow dry pasta, any type you like
Preparations
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees American and 200 degrees Israeli.
Line a deep baking pan with baking paper. Grease baking sheet with spray oil.
Place cherry tomatoes, garlic cloves, onion wedges and olive oil in a baking dish. Mix well. Add a bit of salt (don't overdo it. Remember that the feta is salty) and a little black pepper. Place a block of feta in the dish. Add the thyme sprigs and drizzle another drop of olive oil over the feta and tomatoes.
Place the pan in the oven for about 40 minutes or until the tomatoes burst and the feta is golden brown. Stir the tomatoes in the pan occasionally.
Towards the end of baking, place a medium pot of water and salt and bring to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the manufacturer's instructions.
When the tomatoes and feta are ready, remove the pan from the oven. Transfer the pasta to the pan with a slotted spoon. Mix the pasta with the tomatoes and feta well. If you feel that the pasta is too dry, add a tablespoon or two of the salty water in which the pasta was cooked (I didn't need more than two tablespoons). This is the time to add a little chopped basil.
A simple, light and fun recipe. You are welcome to add, black olives, spinach, a bit of lemon juice, a spoonful of pickled lemon, arissa would be nice. Whatever comes to your mind.
